Gratitude: A Sermon for the Earth on Easter

Gratitude as a theme of the traditional Easter story often reflects feelings that a risen Christ has relieved us of the burden of our sins. However, this is not a common Unitarian Universalist understanding. We will explore the nature of gratitude and find some meaning as it relates to the Easter story that has passed down through the centuries.  We will then seek similarities between the gratitude of Easter and the gratitude we may experience in celebrating Earth Day. With hope, we may even experience gratitude for the appearance of Spring!
