An Evening with Claudia Schmidt

Claudia Schmidt has been honing and elevating her craft for almost fifty years. Craft here means keeping her multi-octave voice supple and expressive, finding ever more melodies and rhythms on her 12 string guitar and mountain dulcimer, and writing songs, stories and poems that make every audience laugh and cry and jump to their feet singing and clapping. Having been in the very early years of her career (she thinks of it more as her ‘careen’!) when she attended UWGB and performed frequently at the infamous Blue Whale Coffeehouse, she is especially excited to be coming to Green Bay forĀ  a concert celebrating the reopening of the Green Bay Area UU Community.
Her love of performing is contagious, and one reviewer described a Claudia concert as “a lot like falling in love: you never know what’s going to happen next, every moment is wonderful, and you know you’ll never be the same!”
