THIS SUNDAY: Poetry Sunday June 26, 2022 at 10:00 THIS SUNDAY: Poetry Sunday
June 26, 2022 at 10:00 am Various speakers

Poetry Sunday is a longtime tradition for the Green Bay fellowship. This year, we embrace our consortium friends at Open Circle and invite two of their poetry lovers, Barbara Lukas and Daniel Belzer, to join David Clowers and Mark Goldstein from GBAUUF to share poems on the theme of The Joys of Nature. In lieu of a discussion during Fellowship Time, we invite you to share a poem with us. This could be one from a much-loved author or one you wrote yourself.

See the UUConnect for the service logon information or click on June 26 in the calendar.

May 15, 2022 at 10:00 am Nathan Knutson

An exploration of how we can create rituals for ourselves that help us connect with the beauty that is at once within and beyond our own bodies. Nathan will share some thoughts about his personal ritual practices and invite individuals to think about their own ideas and beliefs around what it means for something to be ritualized, and how those rituals might better help us find fulfillment and meaning.

Nathan Knutson is a member of the Green Bay Area Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and as well as a current member of the board. He is undertaking his first year of seminary at Harvard Divinity School and aspires to be a Unitarian Universalist chaplain.

The poet Rachel Kann believes we are in a paradigm shift in history. We are awakening to the truth, for better or for worse, and building a new way of being, loving, and living.

Unitarian Universalists are continually called to renew our hopeful faith in a better world. Sadly, sometimes such an optimistic faith may feel pointless because humans seem so intent on destroying themselves. We believe in the inherent goodness and the universal salvation of humanity and these truths still call us into the light of hope in spite of the darkness we confront everyday.
