Nuns on the Bus and Our 5th Principle

Fully aware of challenges to resiliency and the successes gained through creativity, Sisters Clare and Julie will explore with us our 5th Principal as integral to our religious life. Their experiences volunteering at the Texas border and participating in NETWORK Nuns on the Bus journeys highlight forming a passion for social justice and responding to that passion – affirming and promoting “the right of conscience and the use of the democratic process.”

Sr. Clare Lawlor, and Sr. Julie Ann Krahl, have participated in “Nuns on the Bus” journeys, a project of the political lobby organization, NETWORK. Retired from their careers in higher education, they remain active in causes for social justice. They are members of the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
