Wakening To The Possibilities Of A More Sustainable Healthy Environment And How That’s Even Attainable

We all learn from each other. This Sunday you can find out more about Open Circle’s efforts in promoting and implementing solar energy in the community. Tom Schuppe, a long time member of Open Circle and Vice President on the Board, will present the history of the OC solar panel project and the benefits derived over the years, both costs saved and green house gases reduced. He will then talk about the current project regarding the status of placing solar panels on the public library. This talk will be of special interest to OC members in Fond du Lac but it could also be a blueprint for others in our UU consortium.

RE FOCUS:
Waking Up to Interconnection and Earth Day. Our 7th UU principle calls us to “Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.”… but that can often be taken to mean we must save our Earth. In this lesson, we will go one step further and explore our interconnection with the Earth. We will unpack how by working to save Mother Earth, we are also working to save ourselves.
