Weather-relation Service Cancellation Policy

SATURDAY: If the weather looks like it’s going to be unsafe on Sunday, the Office Manager will consult with the Board Chair and Vice Chair seeking approval regarding if or when an EMAIL should be sent to the newsletter subscribers list and the Members and Friends list, and POSTED ON FACEBOOK to the following effect:

“The decision whether or not to cancel tomorrow’s service due to weather will be made and announced by 7:30 a.m., Sunday. Please check your email and Facebook after 7:30 a.m. We will also try to post any cancellation on our website and via the local news stations (WFRV, WBAY, WLUK). As always, the determination of whether or not you feel you can make it safely to the fellowship resides with you.”

SUNDAY MORNING, 7 AM: The Office Manager will check in with the Service Coordinator and/or Facilitator, (who will then get in touch with the Speaker), Openers/Closers, Greeters and Musicians, to see if they can make it. After hearing these answers, the Office Manager will consult by phone with the President and Vice President.

By 7:30 AM:, The Office Manager will EMAIL the newsletter subscribers list, the Members and Friends list, and the Webmaster with the decision. Decision will be posted to website. If decision was to cancel service, Office Manager or other board member will notify local weather-related cancellation outlets such as WBAY, WLUK and WFRV.
