The Rev. Dr. Kendyl Gibbons coined this provocative phrase to describe the purpose of “hopepunk”, a current literary trend. As we again anxiously face election uncertainty, we can turn to hopepunk for “militarized” optimism which demands a better, kinder world by truly caring about each other as hard as we possibly can.
